Mothers day!

It's mother’s day and you’re super excited. That’s when you remember… you don’t have a card! You dash around and gather up your stationery. You fold your paper, but then you stop. You have no idea what to do! That’s when this blog comes in. You’re saved! Today, as it’s Mother’s day, I’m going to give you some ideas for a card. Hope your mum likes it!

Front Covers

For the front of your card, you could draw the classics like rainbows, flowers, hearts, stuff like that. But if you want to change it up a bit, draw something your mum likes or draw things that look interesting and unique. Now that we’ve done that, let's talk about the back page or the page next to your message.

Sketch Mums

If your mother works well with the pencil, maybe draw her! Even if your art skills need some work, just sit down and give it a go. Good or not, your mother will love it either way. Using some images and possibly tutorials to help you in areas you're not good at, try your best and draw it up.

Fashion Mums

If your mum loves perfume and dresses and high heel shoes, here’s her ideal card. Draw some dress or shoe designs, whether it’s crazy or whether it’s not. Mums would love the thought and creativity gone into your designs and possibly if it’s not too crazy, they might try to make it. Ok, that’s not really possible, but you could ask them to make it. Moving on…

Book Mums

If your mum loves books, I suggest you write a poem or a short story! Or even, when the day comes, you can tell her a story, using characters and settings your mother likes.

Cooking Mums

For cooking mums, instead of drawing something, you can try to make something! As much as your Mum likes cooking, I’m sure she would like to receive food much more. If you’re planning to make a full-on dinner, make sure to ask for the help of an adult ( unless you are an adult that is). If you’re not a chef, simply draw some pictures of soup and food. If you want to make it more fun, you draw weird broths and peculiar dishes.

You may be wondering why I didn’t say anything about what to write. I feel I shouldn’t tell you that too because that bit comes from the heart, not from a blog. I hope you have an amazing Mother’s Day

. Remember to spend lots of time with your Mum, and if your parents live overseas, remember to give them a call. Have a fun day and make sure to cover your Mum with hugs and kisses. Happy

Mother’s day!
